When you rent, purchase or sell a Product through the BigMama.ca service, we ask for your contact and billing information, such as your email address and a password, your name, postal address, telephone number and a valid credit card number. We use this information to process your requests and to ship requested or ordered Products to you. We use your telephone number for the sole purpose of contacting you in the event of shipping or order-related issues, and not for marketing or other purposes. We request that you provide a valid credit card number in the event that Products shipped during this period are not returned or charges for lost or stolen books are assessed. If you are paying by credit card, we continue to use the credit card number provided by you initially for billing purposes should you continue to use the services available through BigMama.ca.
We will charge your card for all fees and charges incurred until all outstanding rentals are returned, or until charges for lost or stolen books are assessed. Should you continue as a BigMama.ca customer, we continue to use that credit card number for billing purposes unless you provide us with alternate billing information.
We use your email address to notify you that books in your shopping cart have been shipped to you, to answer inquiries that you send to us, and to communicate with you when necessary concerning billing, the administration of your account and the processing of your rental or purchase requests. We will also use your email address to email you a receipt. As all of the foregoing functions are necessary to the proper administration of your customer account, we do not offer an opt-out from such email communication.
We track and retain your order history so that you can access your online order history in the Your Account section of the website. This information is available to you alone and is not disclosed to other users, customers or unaffiliated third parties. However, we may aggregate this information with information about other users, as described in Item (i) below.

BigMama.ca will use your email to send you email communications from us and our affiliates that inform you about new Products, new or additional services or special offers and other marketing and promotional material. You may opt-out of receiving such email communications by adjusting your Email Settings in My Account or by contacting Customer Service. If you do not opt-out, we will use your personal information for these purposes and may also disclose your email address and/or name to our corporate affiliates so that they can send you such information directly.

This information will be aggregated, so that it does not relate to any particular customer or user. We may process and analyze this information, and/or combine it with other information, for the purposes of statistical analysis, identifying purchasing and/or rental trends, and other research. You cannot be identified by such aggregate data.
BigMama.ca will not sell, license, trade or rent your personal information to or with unaffiliated third parties. BigMama.ca will not otherwise disclose your personal information except as described below.
BigMama.ca may share certain information about you, including your contact and financial information, with our business partners where necessary or appropriate. In the event that certain services provided to you by or through BigMama.ca or one of its business partners are to be provided to you by a substitute service provider, your information may be transferred to the substitute service provider provided that such substitute entity agrees to be bound by the terms of the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of performance of the services. In the event you decide to reactivate your account with BigMama.ca following a deactivation, you may be prompted to confirm your personal information at that time if your personal information continues to be retained by BigMama.ca for the purposes described above.
